Constructed specifically for men, RecoverHe is an intensive training concentrated to help you work through internal barriers and external struggles for a full — and lasting — recovery. Clinicians are also invited to learn how to apply these concepts in their work.
Identify how male roles and stereotypes are formed from society, culture, and family roles.
Analyze how self-esteem, self-worth, and self-efficacy are impacted through male stereotypes and lead to maladaptive coping.
Examine how stereotyped behaviors drive rigid, addictive tendencies and develop solutions to increase your willingness to change while keeping your integrity intact.
Provide reframing interventions, cognitive restructuring, and distress tolerance techniques that cultivate and demonstrate the importance of vulnerability and intimacy in your life.
Recognize how men are often the ‘forgotten, silent sufferers’ as it pertains to trauma and learn two crucial skills to increase your voice and choice.
Incorporate clinical competencies that free you from gender stereotypes and allow you to live by new ‘man rules.'
Examine the clinical research related to suicide, substance abuse, and gender differences.
While details of the time, location, and specific dates are still to be determined for the next RecoverHe training, contact Megan with your name and contact information to reserve a spot. Space is limited.
